There once was a place called Lake Forest College, but then the world ended. Now, there's just The University.
Consisting solely of what was once the Middle Campus of Lake Forest, The University is now a small circular compound surrounded by both a natural barrier of dense tree growth, as well as a man made barrier of improvised spikes and barbed wire surrounded the area and blocking off what few roads actually led into campus. There are three main gates that have been built on the perimeter, one on each end of the main road and a third tucked away on the east side of the grounds for a trail that leads down to the lake and can be used to get away in case of an emergency.

BUILDINGS
The Library-The biggest building at The University, it still houses plenty of books on its lower levels as well as some bunks and other places to relax. The upper floors have been converted mostly into offices and map rooms. This is where William's office is for when he needs to do official things as well as some of the study rooms now having maps of the surrounding area for scouting teams to get an idea of where they want to go as well as marking off where they've been and picked clean.
The Center-The old campus center building located at the edge of the grounds. This building is mostly used for nonessential storage. The part of the building facing outer campus is locked up tight to avoid anyone sneaking in, but the inner part is filled with several boxes and crates full of things that could prove useful, namely clothes, coats, and blankets. Food and weapons are not kept here.
H-Hall-The main residential structure on campus. This is where the majority of the people sleep. Rooms were meant for two students but are divided up into one person each. Many of the extra metal bed frames were used in order make fortifications and the extra mattresses are kept in The Center for when they might be needed.
The Fortress-This was once a residential building but is now used as an armory and is often locked up with William and a small handful of others keeping the keys. The guns and the ammo are also kept in two separate rooms until a scouting party needs them to go out.
The Coffee Hall-What was once a simple coffee shop now serves as the Granary for The University. Attached to the main mess hall, this building is locked and the cook and his staff have keys.
Mess-Serves as the mess hall for the university. It was not built in any way to be a dining hall but has since been converted to one with a rudimentary kitchen for food preparation. The stove is a simple gas cook stove that doesn't require electricity thankfully. The food isn't great, but it works out well.
There are also a few other smaller building on campus but these are largely unused.

Roles
William-The second leader of The Univeristy, he was an english professor and is one of the few people who still remember the college from before The Surge.
The Cook-Keeps the people fed, has a small staff that work under them that are volunteers.
Scouts- These are the people that go off of the campus and out into the surrounding areas. They find what buildings are useful for scavenging in the area and also make sure that no one is approaching to attack The University. These guys need to run fast in order to ring an alarm bell located at the center of campus to alert everyone of threats in the area.

RULES
1:No one is to be alone around campus except in their dorm rooms. This way if anyone's a silencer, they can't sneak off and around
2:Don't take more than you need. Everyone is struggling to get by, you're lucky enough to be here, if you don't appreciate it, leave.
3:If you hear the alarm bell, get in a building and stay there until you hear the bell again. Bell means drone in the area.
99:Don't be a dick. This rule comes from a club that used to exist but doesn't anymore, it's a good rule to live by though, isn't it.
